Meet our Team
We are a husband and wife team with over 30 years of childcare experience. We have 2 grown children ourselves and 3 small grandchildren. We are both highly focused on children’s learning, development and social skills. We are both currently working towards Montessori accreditation and implementing many of their philosophies and teaching methods within our setting. We are very proud of our recent ‘Outstanding’ rating from Ofsted and feel it reflects our desire to provide the best possible care for your children.

Sassie
We have a dog, Sassie, a standard poodle and a cat, Boudicca. They are part of our team and loved by all the children. ‘Sassie’ and ‘cat’ are often first words!
Sassie works as a doorbell, a guardian and a Hoover sometimes as well
The cat is visible yet she stays tantalisingly out of reach of the children.
There has been abundant research that demonstrates wide-ranging benefits to children from pets. The psychological benefits are well proven. Studies have shown that children who grow up around animals develop into more confident, socially adept individuals. There is also evidence that children develop better immune systems as a result of having pets.
Please be assured that the children are always supervised while with the pets. Hygienic practice is taught and observed.
We have a pet’s policy document that you can view on our policies page.
