Facilities
Based in our own home, we are registered to look after 8 children between the ages of 0-8. We have designated rooms for the children to play and sleep in and they are encouraged to help out in the kitchen. Our children enjoy making cakes and homemade pizzas and love eating what they make and also taking something yummy home for mummy! We have a designated play room in which we have a selection of age appropriate toys, games, art and craft materials, books and exercise equipment and which has recently been revamped to include low level storage and shelving enabling our children to self select their own toys for play. Music and song is a fundamental part of our day and musical instruments are available for children to play with and learn. There is a sleeping room with individual beds and cots for the younger children and each older child has their own place to rest when they need to. We have a designated quiet viewing room with big soft chairs for children to relax and watch TV.
We have a secure private garden which we use all year round and our children love to play outdoors. They have open access from the play room to the garden enabling them to go outside and play whenever they want to. Our garden includes a decked area for sand and water play, and an ever changing variety of tents, dens and play equipment.
For the older children we have a home Cinema, Xbox and regular adventures to the beach and Forest.
We are keen to encourage our children to learn from their natural surroundings as much as possible and include exciting outings to a local Forest School, close by woods, beaches and parks, all enabling our children to discover different environments and the changing seasons.
Due to the small numbers of children, all individual needs can be catered for. Children who are keen to explore the outside world can go along on the day trips whilst those who benefit from chilling-out after school are allowed to do so for short periods of time before they are ready to engage in other activities.
